LUXURY AUTOMOTIVE SALES CONSULTANT

The primary purpose of the luxury automotive sales professional is to establish positive customer relationships with existing and potential clients of Lexus of Nashville.  The ideal candidate will possess the drive, determination and business background to work in luxury automotive sales. The high performing, talented sales professional will have a proven record of performance in automotive sales and the ability to effectively market our award-winning luxury automobiles.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Possess solid understanding of retail sales.

SERVICE ADVISOR
 
Serving as the primary point-of-contact for all automotive service and repair matters, the Service Advisor's core responsibility is to facilitate the maintenance and repair needs for guest’s vehicles in a manner than ensures a truly outstanding experience for each guest.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests promptly in a friendly manner
  • Ascertain automotive problems and services by listening to guests' description of symptoms, clarifying problems, checking vehicle maintenance records and/or examining service schedules.
  • Advise customers on the care of their vehicle and the value of maintaining its condition in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required. Enter RO into service database system.
  • Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle. Manage delivery of required repair action by successfully explaining requirements and setting and managing guest expectations.
  • Monitor progress of repairs and communicate with guest regarding any changes in the estimate or delivery time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and obtain proper authorization before additional work is performed.
  • Maintain guest’s automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Accepts accountability for delivering outstanding level of customer service.
  • Maintain expected Customer Satisfaction Index.  
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures. 
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a dealership required (luxury experience is preferred) 
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • High level of motivation and demonstrated ability to learn and succeed.
  • General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations
  • Professional personal appearance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid Tennessee driver license and a good driving record.

TECHNICIAN
 
Technician responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing Lexus vehicles, maintaining high customer satisfaction and meeting productivity and efficiency numbers. Applicants must be team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Lexus and dealership experience preferred. Lexus / Toyota and/or ASE Certified technician a plus.
 
Requirements
  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts, inform team leader if vehicle is awaiting parts and pursue special order of parts if necessary
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by customer
  • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by customer
  • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
  • Notify service consultants immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is   not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised
  • Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order using the concern, cause and correction format
  • Road-test vehicles to check work performed
  • Ensure that customer vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced
  • Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
  • Attend factory sponsored training classes
  • Keep shop area neat clean and be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all times
  • Understand and follow federal, state and locate regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the company’s vision, mission and values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
  • Follow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals
 
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to inclement weather
  • Ability to operate an automobile
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping and bending
  • Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and or pulling of arm or leg controls, or requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and /or pulling of materials.

SERVICE VALET
 
Service Valets provide a personalized vehicle parking and retrieval service for our visiting guests and the dealership.  To accommodate the fast-paced environment of dealership operations, valets operate with quick "hustle” and in a professional, friendly and efficient manner. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain strict adherence to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation
  • Greet guests upon arrival
  • Explain check-in procedures
  • Escort guests to appropriate service advisor
  • Park vehicles in designated areas and secure
  • Retrieve vehicles as necessary
  • Notify appropriate personnel of waiting guest
  • Maintain accessibility and appearance of service drive
  • Assist guests with of transfer of goods and packages between vehicles
  • Provide additional information to guests
  • Coordinate work with team members
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor
  • Conduct other duties as assigned
 
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Consistent attendance
  • Valid Tennessee Driver License

DETAIL ATTENDANT
 
Our quality car wash and detail shop has position for a car wash attendant/auto detailer. Experience welcome, but not necessary as we will train. Car washing involves standing and bending for long periods of time.  Most cleaning is done in shade.  Detail attendant is a customer service position and candidates must maintain a positive customer service attitude. 

Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Available to work Monday through Saturday.
